Description

Recently I have a big interest into either image processing or imaging aquisitions of astronomical targets from the Southern Hemisphere Sky. Thanks to the remote based observatories that is possible for everyone. Of course, I plan to visit Chile, Peru, or Patagonia for astronomy at some time in future.

RCW catalouge (one of my favorites southern targets), stands for Rodgers, Campbell & Whiteoak (RCW) catalouge of H-alpha emission nebulae in the Southern Milky Way. RCW 113 is an large duffuse nebulae region near the Sco OB1 association of stars. Nearby one can see the stellar cluster NGC 6231, which contains 9 O-stars, 5 B-stars, and a Wolf-Rayet star WR79. The hottest O-star is the O6 III binary giant HD 152233
